TESTO, INC. is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of portable test and measurement instrumentation. Backed by over 50 years of measuring engineering experience, the Testo mission is to provide the best quality, service and value in the industry. In addition, Testo is recognized as the leading worldwide manufacturer of portable combustion efficiency analyzers and air emission analyzers.
Cypress Engine Accessories is an Authorized Testo Dealer with the ability to perform maintenance and repairs at our Cypress Location. We have a team ready to assist you with your emissions testing and analyzer servicing.
Catalyst testing is designed to accurately determine the performance of an Element. Our Multi-Lambda Catalyst Test System simulates the actual exhaust gases that your catalyst will be exposed to after installation.
Testing gases contain CO, NOx, Nitrogen, Propylene, O2 and water vapor. Upon entering the test-cycle, we heat an element to actual operating temperature, flow a balanced mix of exhaust gases, adjust the O2 to achieve the appropriate Lambda set point and perform pre- and post-catalyst emission tests.
After our technicians test a catalyst, a detailed report is issued with test readings and conversion efficiency. No more guessing—properly tested catalysts help our customers eliminate unnecessary down time.
Catalyst Testing can be performed at our Cypress and Midland Locations.
Engine operations expose catalysts to chemical compounds that affect an element’s surface and its active ingredients. These contaminants hinder the functionality of a catalyst and cause the catalyst to further degrade over time. Instead of replacing a catalyst prematurely, chemical washing is used to remove contaminants, regenerate the catalyst surface and restore catalytic activity and performance.
Although washing catalysts is a common practice, not all catalyst washing systems are alike. The most effective catalyst element cleaning method involves four steps, in a specific sequence, for specific periods of time. Each sequence is critical and is designed to remove specific contaminants.
Cypress Engine utilizes modern chemical processing equipment, methods and procedures. Our facilities use chemical recirculation pumps and a special manifold to continuously flush the solutions through the cells of the element for deep cleaning. This is an effective way to release contaminants from the catalyst, particularly from within the interior surfaces and catalyst pores. Additionally, to avoid cross-contamination, Cypress Engine uses fresh chemical solutions for each batch of catalysts.
Catalyst Washing can be performed at our Cypress, Kilgore and Midland Locations.
Catalyst Asset Management Program
Cypress Engine Accessories provides our customers complete catalyst life-cycle management. When our customers take advantage of our Test/Wash Services, we apply a Catalyst Tracking Number (CTN) to track the catalyst’s performance records throughout the catalyst’s life cycle. As we service your catalyst, we record all pre-test and post-test data and record the details in our Cypress Engine Data System.
The program is created with the customer in mind. Need quick access to testing reports—we can provide! Need to determine when your catalyst should next be washed—we can remind! Need to track your catalyst’s performance records and installation dates throughout the catalyst’s life cycle---we have you covered!
